Current Clinic

New Clinic

Recognising the significant impact our existing clinic has had on the general health of the community, the Vanuatu Ministry of Health and the Provincial Health Management Team upgraded our status to a dispensary level care facility in June 2016.
The current clinic does not meet the required standards to operate as a dispensary, so the committee has been in negotiations with the Ministry of Health, the Vanuatu Government, the Tribal Elders and the community at large to develop a new clinic on the adjoining site.
The new facility will include adjacent staff and volunteer quarters for the people working in the clinic, is designed to meet the required standards to operate as a Dispensary and to withstand the physical and environmental factors of its location.

Plans were drawn up by Ralph Bailey (received the Life Fellow Award at the Australian Institute of Architects, 2019), Principal Architect at Guymer Bailey Architects. In order to bring these plans to life we need your financial support (by way of donation, fundraising or volunteering). Construction of the new clinic in line with these published plans will make a real difference for the birthing, health and well-being of this remote island community on Tanna.

You can download these plans via the links below, along with a letter of concept from Principal Architect, Ralph Bailey.
